Historic City of Snohomish
The City of Snohomish was founded in 1860 by E.C. Ferguson and E.F. Cady. The city was first known as Cadyville and later
changed to Snohomish City in 1871, named after the dominant indian tribe in the area "sdoh-doh-hohbsh" which means sleeping waters.
Once known for its logging industry, the City of Snohomish is now famous for its antiques. Historic downtown features turn-of-the-century buildings, many of which still stand today.
